Three lovely folk tunes: Fairy Lullaby, She’s Like the Swallow and All the Pretty Little Horses – arranged for harp duet. Beautiful, well done arrangements, with editing and brackets included. Includes score and pull-out parts. These would be appropriate on any type program, and could be performed by students and professionals alike. She’s Like the Swallow can be played on small harp, but requires Eb tuning. Horses requires a harp that goes to the Low G. Fairy Lullaby is very easy and can be played on small harp. EASY TO LOWER INTERMEDIATE, ALL HARPS.
My friend and I have recently begun practicing your harp duets and we are completely in love with your work! I just had to Google you and find a way to tell you how much we are enjoying your arrangements.
We are only amateur harp players, but we’re determined to play well. How lucky for us to have found your lovely trio of pieces. We particularly love She’s Like a Swallow and were wondering about its origins …. is it your original composition? It’s a gorgeous treatment, especially in the way the two harps are so balanced and ‘sing’ to each other. Pretty Little Horses is lovely too — I find myself humming the descants all the time now. Love it!
It’s a pretty rare thing to find lever harp duets where both parts are creative and musically satisfying. (So often one harp does all the pretty stuff while the other harp just plunks along!) But with your work, both instruments work together so wonderfully.
I hope you publish more and more such marvelous duets! Thank you so much for these!
