Description
Henriette Renie, 1875-1956, published this Early Intermediate level duet for either two Harps or Piano and Harp. Musicality notation, change in layout and correction of some harmonies improves what was published in France long ago. It is playable on either Lever or Pedal Harps.
Gladys Hubner studied with Marcel Grandjany while she played in Radio Music City and Broadway Orchestras. She nicknamed this beloved duet “don’t whack your thumbs”. She felt that harpists need to be aware of how each finger sounds so they can play it as smooth as the pianists play. I showed this arrangement to Eileen Malone while studying with her. I promised her that once this became Public Domain I’d publish it.
