Description
This traditional Thai lullaby utilizes a pentatonic scale: Eb, F, G, Bb, C. The opening line, “Hear the Song of the Wind in the Trees,” uses the imagery of the sound of a gentle breeze moving softly through the leaves to create a soothing, rocking lullaby. The bass line is made of fragments of the pentatonic scale creating a counter melody. Special harp techniques are utilized to imitate the sounds of Asian instruments. Included are three harp parts, a vocal score (soprano, alto, and tenor), and a harp trio score. ALL HARPS, LATE BEGINNER, EARLY INTERMEDIATE.
