Description
The title of this arrangement translates to “Murmuring a Lullaby.” The song is often sung as a lullaby to the Baby Jesus at Christmas. Its syncopated rhythms, sixteenth notes trading off with triplets, and Latin harmonies will delight audiences and performers alike. Harp 1 (pedal) carries the melodic line with some rhythmic complexity and has a section of continuous sixteenth notes traded between the hands. Harp 2 (pedal) also features more complex rhythms in a counter-harmony line alongside larger rolled chords. Harp 3 (large lever) has the arpeggiated harmony and is overall less rhythmically challenging. The lever changes, though completely doable, are not for the faint of heart!
Both a full score and individual parts for each harp are included. The difficulty level is late intermediate. The pedal and lever changes are marked in both the score and parts between the staves. Each harp part is 3-4 pages long. Keys of D minor (1 flat) and D major (2 sharps).
