Description
In this harp duo arrangement, “The Hills Are Bare at Bethlehem” (hymn tune PROSPECT) is intertwined with the familiar tune, “Away in a Manger”. The composition is like a lullaby due to the ¾ meter and style. It starts with the melody being present in Harp I and then passed to Harp II. Then, after a transition of glissandos, the second section alternates the phrases of AWAY IN A MANGER and PROSPECT, highlighted by harmonics in the accompaniment. The third section is basically like the first with the last phrase of PROSPECT being repeated as a coda. The piece is in the key of G Major and is an intermediate level for either lever or pedal harps. Downloadable File Only.
