Description
The valuable, “Technical Studies for the Harp” by Alfred Holy were out of print for a time because the publisher’s plates were destroyed during the bombing raids of World War II. There are interesting exercises packed within the 60 pages of book one, and the 331 exercises show much skill by the author. They allow the aspiring harp student to develop his technique gradually from the beginning to high virtuosity. Many exercises are made from difficult passages found in the literature of the harp, even from the seemingly unplayable works of Parish-Alvars. These studies are also helpful to those wishing to play the harp where there is no teacher available in the area. There is a graded list of etudes for the harp on the last page. EASY TO ADVANCED ALL HARPS.
