Table of Contents: 1) With two fingers, 2) With three fingers, 3) With four fingers, 4) Intervals, 5) Alternating hands, 6) With three fingers- alternating intervals, and fingers, 7) Rhythms and Effects, 8) Turnarounds. EASY TO INTERMEDIATE, ALL HARPS.
Chicago harpist Annette Bjorling dives deep into Friandises. The title means “sweets”. It is actually an exercise book and Bjorling shows us how excellent the studies are and how to apply them. Annette attended an in-person workshop on this topic with Mr. Andrès himself, so she has a nicely personal and experiential side of this book to impart to her audience. This presentation was given as part of Melody Music’s “Harp Teachers Gathering” series on October 9 of 2023.
