Description
This is an arrangement of the well-beloved “overture” to Johann Sebastian Bach’s cantata Ich steh mit einem Fuß im Grabe, BWV 156. Harp 1 (pedal) is the most difficult of the parts, with more pedal changes and hands distanced from each other, and carries the melody a good bit of the time. Harp 2 (pedal) divides the arpeggiated accompaniment with Harp 3 (large lever). Both parts 2 and 3 are of about equal difficulty – Harp 2 has more running eighth note arpeggios, and Harp 3 has larger stretches in the LH (up to a tenth).
Both a full score and individual parts for each harp are included. The difficulty level is early to late intermediate with the pedal changes marked in between the staffs and the single lever change left up to the discretion of the performer. Each harp part is 2 pages long.
