Description
Three arias in the arrangement: O mio babbino caro, Humming Chorus, and Nessun dorma. Key of G major, lots of accidentals. There are a few tempo changes that herald a change in melody or mood.
Harp 1 part is four pages long and playable on a pedal or 36 string lever harp. I could be adapted for 26 string harp with full levers. There are at least a dozen lever changes. Optional lower notes are shown for pedal harps. Suitable for an advanced beginner/early intermediate player.
Harp 2 is five pages long and playable only on pedal harp, intermediate level part.
Harp 3 is three pages long and playable on lever or pedal harp. There are at least a half dozen lever changes, all with at least a full measure to move them. This part is suitable for a novice harpist and with a little adaptation can be played on a 26 string harp with levers on F’s and C’s.
The score is eight pages long.
Ms. Michaels wrote this arrangement for a harp camp, looking to have a piece that covered all of the different skill levels and types of harps being played there. The third part, though easy, is somewhat independent and features 2 short solos, and is a great opportunity for someone fairly new to the harp to feel like they are contributing to the piece. The work has a big ending, and fits into the crowd pleaser category.
