Description
This piece, by Tchaikovsky, is an exciting harp ensemble, arranged by Susan Koskelin and edited by Kimberly DeRosa. Part 1 has the most action and melody, parts 2 and 3 add texture and harmonic support, part 4 is a little less challenging. Parts 3 and 4 provide the “Ooom-pah” motif that characterize a polka. Quite a few accidentals, harp 2 get the glissandos. The piece starts in the key of D minor, switches to D major in measure 17, repeats to measure 2 from measure 48, and completes with the second ending. INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED, PEDAL HARP.
