Description
“O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” gets sung every year in many settings. It is always impressive with its solemn modal progressions and awe-inspiring words. The arranger, Gretchen Monson, wanted a different arrangement of this hymn for a long time. Then one day, the motif that carries through the piece struck her, and she knew she finally had the chance to make the arrangement happen. She hopes all will take a moment to reflect on Emmanuel’s first coming, that night over 2,000 years ago, and then on His second coming, that imminent and joyful day. This ensemble is suitable for all harps, pedal and lever. Included are score, three separate parts, and performance notes.
