Description
This arrangement combines elements of tone painting and classical music. It begins simply, using Bach’s Arioso as an introduction. Another Bach composition, Sheep May Safely Graze, is used as a counter melody to set a pastoral mood and imitate bird calls with triplet patterns. In contrast, the second verse begins stormily with an excerpt from Chopin’s Winter Wind Etude. A full-harp glissando (arpeggio in the lever version) ushers in the chorus, majestic and triumphant with large rolled chords, bass octaves, and RH arpeggiated accompaniment. Included in the file are the full score, three parts, detailed performance notes, and lyrics. ALL HARPS, LATE INTERMEDIATE.
