Description
This is a lively medley of three dances by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Harp 1 (pedal) carries the melody a good bit of the time and is fraught with energetic dotted rhythms, sixteenth notes, and short little glisses. Harp 2 (pedal) is the most difficult of the parts, with more pedal changes, running bass octaves, and hands far apart on the range of the instrument. It also gets a chance to play some of the lilting melodic material like Harp 1. Although the easiest of the three, Harp 3 (large lever) has its share of fast sixteenths, off-beat eighth notes, and three-note rolled chords.
Both a full score and individual parts for each harp are included. The difficulty level is early to late intermediate with the pedal and lever changes left up to the discretion of the performers. Each harp part is 4-5 pages long.
