Description
From the arranger:
“The Irish Harp contains 24 airs, laments, slow marches and tunes from Ireland. Among them are popular folk melodies such as Danny Boy, The Star of County Down, Ireland Forever and Down by the Sally Gardens. Some of the pieces are by great masters of Irish music from the 17th and 18th centuries including by Brian Boru, Ruairi Dall O’Cathain, and the Irish Harp master Turlough O’Carolan among others. The arrangements are appropriate for a large lever harp with 2 octaves below middle C and tuned to Eb or C. Songs in two tunings are noted with an * in Contents. The songs are very accessible and appropriate for mid-beginner to intermediate players with limited or easy lever changes.”
