Description
Spanish Dance #4, “Villanesca,” by Enrique Granados (written by Mitch Landy)
A work of stately simplicity, in a major key with a minor middle section. This is an arrangement, not a transcription, because in addition to changing the key (from G up to D), it has been abridged by the elimination of some repetitions; moreover, the ornamentation has been changed. Perhaps the chief difficulty lies in the frequent crossing of the left hand into a high register. Intermediate, 5 pages.
Information about the composer, Enrique Granados, is available at wikipedia. Very interesting story.
