Many Americans are unaware that The House of the Rising Sun is an American folk song. The tune was recorded by The Animals in 1964 and their version is listed as one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s “500 songs that Shaped Rock and Roll”. Versions of this tune from the early 1900s are found in Appalachia, Oklahoma and New Orleans.
Alternate parts allow for the traditional combination of flute, harp and viola.
Not suitable for lever harp.
