Description
This arrangement comes in two versions: Version A is late-beginner level and playable on a 26-string harp with the C 1 octave below middle C. Version B is intermediate level and playable on a larger lever harp with an additional lower octave.
From the arranger:
“Please note: these versions are not designed to be played as duets. A is a bare-bones, spare arrangement with chord symbols, some fingering and brackets, a lever-harp-friendly departure from the hymn book (useful as a base for improvisation, or inviting a guitarist friend to play along). Each B version begins with an introduction and includes a fully composed arrangement complete with lush chords. You may choose to perform both versions: A followed by B (the intro serving as a bridge) offers a nice contrast and more music to fill a longer time duration.”
Cross-over/under passages in both hands, LH “stretch” broken chords, colorful chords, and a full harp arpeggio feature in the piece. It makes a wonderful addition to the beginner’s lesson repertoire or the seasoned harpist’s worship and background music. Abundantly clear fingerings are included in Version A; sparser fingerings in Version B. ALL HARPS, LATE BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE.
