Description
Betty Paret’s Very First Harp Pieces – 3 songs: Moonlight, I Hear a Harp, and Berceuse de Noel. EASY, ALL HARPS.
Moonlight – A single-page beginner piece in the key of C which focuses on the note “C”. Very easy, teaches PDLT, silencing, and 8va. Can be played on a 26-string harp.
I Hear a Harp – A single-page piece in the key of C. Very gratifying for the beginner! Consists mostly of simple first inversion arpeggios. Playable on all harps and perfect for the 29-string harp going down to G.
Berceuse de Noel – A delightful, one-page beginner piece. Waltz time, key of C. Technical emphasis is on placing and consistent rhythm. Form follows A-B-A style, two measures of pdlt, and a nice high chord for the ending.
