Description
This arrangement is part of the At Your Fingertips series of classical works arranged for the harp at a late-intermediate level. “Nimrod” is from Edward Elgar’s orchestral work Enigma Variations. The piece features extended chords (up to tenths) in both hands, parallel thirds and sixths, and carefully marked dynamics. The lever harp version is in C major (with A-flat accidentals) and the pedal harp version is in E-flat major. Lever changes are given as text between staffs and are written using the octave placement of the string – ex. ‘4Ab’. It is a good addition to an intermediate student’s lesson repertoire or a seasoned performer’s background music. LEVER or PEDAL HARP, LATE INTERMEDIATE.
