Description
This book contains 8 Déchiffrage for “medium to intermediate level” pedal harp. As a French musical term, Déchiffrage means sightread. The measures are nicely spaced out and the notation is beautifully engraved. Pedal markings are large and there are graphs. These are most likely his earliest compositions and were written in his 20s, soon after earning first prize at the Paris Conservatory in 1899. This volume, and volume 2 (also for sale on this website) fill a need for beautiful French music easily sight-readable by the advanced harpist and playable by intermediate pedal harpists, giving them wonderful additions to their repertoire.
