Description
The harp played a major part in the folk music of Brittany in the Middle Ages and enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in the last century. In that tradition, this arrangement features two Breton circle dances, Hanter Dro de Languidig and Hanter Dro. Parallel fifths, the use of major chords in a minor mode, and pdlt all contribute to the folk feel. Additionally, the arranger has included extensive notes on the genre. It is a good addition to a beginner’s lesson repertoire or a seasoned performer’s background music. ALL HARPS, LATE BEGINNER/EARLY INTERMEDIATE.
