Description
From the arranger:
“I have included some fingering suggestions which I hope you might find helpful. Fingering is always controversial and different harpers like different fingerings so these fingerings are by no means the only possible ones!! They fit my hand but if they don’t fit yours, or you don’t like them, just ignore them!
“I have also included some tempo markings. Ignore these too, if you want! They are just suggestions for the tempo I like to use.
“Tunes marked with an S will probably fit easily on your small harp. The others can if you modify them slightly.”
These pieces use mostly intervals of fifths and sixths as LH accompaniment although the occasional “stretch” broken chord does appear. Grace notes, short glisses, and rolled chords also feature in the original compositions and the arrangements of familiar and traditional tunes. There is a variety of difficulty levels. This book is perfect for a student looking to begin playing gigs. ALL HARPS, LATE BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE.
Recordings of the pieces in this book (and others by the arranger) can be found linked on this spreadsheet.
