Three Trios Volume 1
A customer asked Reba how she could utilize
this book, and here is Reba’s reply: You could have someone play full harp part, another play small harp part, and have someone play hammered dulcimer part if that person doesn’t mind playing a single line. I’d do it in a heartbeat because it’s EASY! Or you could split the full harp part into two (one on bass, one on treble) and someone else could play hammered dulcimer (that’s where most of melody is). Hammered dulcimer is a C instrument so that part can also be played by flute, violin, or any other C pitch instrument. You could also have someone play the full harp part, and two others play hammered dulcimer and flute parts. Options are multiple here. Just needs to be tailored to playing levels and preferences. Hope you have fun with it! Table of Contents: This Is My Father’s World, Amazing Grace/Inisheer, Morning Has Broken.
Three beautiful and mostly familiar tunes in ensemble combination. Play them with all of the different instruments or as few as you want. Mountain dulcimer parts are written in notation and tablature. Tunings are D-A-D and D-G-D, no capo required. The harp part has two formats: medium difficulty level for full range lever or pedal harp and easy or lap harp.
Otherwise known as 3 Trios for Folk Ensemble V 3. Three delightful ensemble arrangements, consisting of one familiar Celtic tune plus two excellent Celtic medleys. Harp, Hammered Dulcimer (or C instrument), and flute.
Solo lap harp versions of each piece are also included.

Reba was our first webinar guest; the topic was proofreading. We used to call her “Eagle Eye” – she didn’t miss a thing. She is now retired and enjoys her fabulous yard containing vegetables and native Texas plants. She is an expert quilter, having many years of experience, and has started lessons in painting. Recently she traveled to the San Antonio area with family members to view and experience the eclipse, which she described as “magical.”
During the pandemic we enjoyed connecting with friends and customers throughout the world. We attended meetings, lessons, conversations. Our world became friendlier and larger. So… we decided to start a series of “conversations” on harp teaching ideas. A gathering place for harp teachers, if you will. We integrated a few other topics, but we’re putting them under the same heading for ease of organization.
