Description
A medley of two popular tunes for mixed ensemble in which the beginners carry the tune throughout Greensleeves, and it is shared between all three parts for Gaudete.
It’s a bit of a challenge changing from Greensleeves’ 6 8 time signature to Gaudete’s irregular time signature of 9 crotchet beats in a bar, and then back to 6 8, but nothing that can’t be mastered with some team work and practise. It’s also fun to break into song during the Gaudete chorus – tricky for those who aren’t used to singing with their harps, but it works as a rich contrast in the medley.
