Description
Thirteen well-notated selections, featuring a variety of traditional songs and new compositions. Several selections are written for a variety of ensemble combinations: two harps, two voices, voice with harp accompaniment, and unaccompanied voice. A fiddle, flute, or other concert C pitch instrument could play the vocal line on some songs, as well as the first harp part for O’Carolan’s Dream if a second harpist is unavailable. Harp is definitely written as accompaniment to the harp and voice tunes. Artistic interpretation by singers and soloists is encouraged by the arrangers. Contains: The White Birds, The Rigs o’ Barley with Barney Brallaghan’s, The Song of Wandering Aengus, A Few Drops of Rain, The False Lover (unaccompanied vocal), An Chrubach, Raggle Taggle Gypsy with the Burning of the Piper’s Hut, O’Carolan’s Dream (Harp Duet), Night Visiting Song (unaccompanied vocal), Rocking the Cradle, Wonderous Love, The Ides of March (Harp Solo), The Parting Glass (unaccompanied vocal). 52 pages.
