Description
Polkas, and jigs, and reels, oh my! Twelve solid arrangements that sound great but are not hard to play. Right hand has single note melody, with some grace note ornaments thrown in for flavor. Left hand accompaniment is sparse but good support, usually open fifth, octave, and/or single notes. The type is nice and dark, medium easy-to-read format. That’s important for older eyes like mine! (Reba) Most offerings take up only one page, avoiding awkward page turns. Don’t you hate having a break in the middle of a run?!! Dearbhail also sites some of her sources for a few songs. Handy to have to explore more of a particular style or music of a certain time period. LOWER INTERMEDIATE TO INTERMEDIATE, ALL HARPS.
