Description
New Blues is a jazzy theme and variations for intermediate to advanced lever or pedal harp. The variations are based on a twelve bar blues form. As in many jazz arrangements, the theme (called the “head” in jazz circles) is played at the beginning of the piece, then there are a set of variations (called “solos” in jazz parlance). After the variations, the theme returns (this time called the “out head”) with a “tag” or “turnaround”, the short cadenza found at the end of many jazz arrangements. There are two versions of New Blues, one for Eb lever harp and one for C lever harp. Either is playable on pedal harp. INT TO ADV LEVER OR PED
