From Angi: Keith Getty is a modern hymn-writer, and his songs are sung in churches everywhere. Along with several co-writers (his wife Kristyn, Stuart Townend (who wrote “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us”), and several others), Keith has written some of the most beautiful music and lyrics that I’ve ever heard. This publication has a wonderful story: A harpist friend, Lisa Rhea, wrote & asked if I had arranged any of Keith’s music. I hadn’t, but I told her that I’d try to do it “sometime.” She really, really wanted me to do it. So a week later I received a CD in the mail, “In Christ Alone” by Keith and Kristyn Getty. I wrote her back and told her I was hooked! This collection includes 10 songs. Sheet music has both C & Eb versions.
Contains: In Christ Alone, Beneath the Cross, Father In Heaven, Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer, May the Peace (Benediction), O My Soul, Speak, O Lord, The Power of the Cross (O, To See the Dawn), This Fragile Vessel (Communion), When Trials Come. INTERMEDIATE, ALL HARPS.
Arrangements by Angi Bemiss are easy to read, easy to play and well loved by many harpists and harpers.
The single arrangements are presented in the keys of C and Eb. You receive both keys. This is to accommodate lever harps tuned in either C or Eb.
Angi’s arrangements are intermediate or lower intermediate, and they are sight-readable by advanced harpists and some are sight-readable by intermediate harpists. Despite their simplicity they sound full. The melody is clear, and the harmonies are accurate and supportive of the beautiful melodies Angi chooses to arrange.
These selections are very usable by harpists for many different types of occasions, including background music, weddings, funerals, meditations, sacred services, hospital and hospice work. We highly recommend all of the music arranged by Angi Bemiss.
