Description
From the arranger:
“Japanese Music for Small Harps in C contains 25 Japanese folk songs and lullabies taken from folk songs and Koto literature including the popular “Sakura” transcribed from Koto tablature and adapted for the Lap Harp. The arrangements are appropriate for a small harp without levers and with 20-22 strings (starting with G below middle C) or 26 strings (starting one octave below middle C) and tuned in C. The songs are very accessible and appropriate for mid-beginner to intermediate players and endeavor to remain true to the sound of the Koto zither.”
Please note that “Sheep Fast Asleep” is also contained in the book Christmas Carols Around the World.
