Description
Although Frank had never composed a tune with a Celtic twist, this piece is perhaps the closest he’s ever come to writing a Celtic tune. When he heard of the passing of Steve Green, maker of Steen Harps, he wanted to create a composition that would honor Steve’s memory and celebrate the joyful life he lived. Throughout Frank’s friendship with Steve and his wife, Doris, they lived deep in the mountains of West Virginia. Frank never visited their home and workshop, but imagined it up in the hills, tucked away in the forest. Forest Green has a happy melody and it is full of fun. It will lift your spirits! Significant fingering is provided in the first few measures, and rather than cluttering each page with more finger notation, you can write it in as needed. Performance Notes are included. 5 pages
