Description
Vol. 2, like Vol. 1, is written for all harps, small and large, lever or pedal. Unlike Vol. 1, Vol. 2 will have lever/pedal changes in some of the pieces. Here is a breakdown of the lever changes/levers needed for this book: Part One, “The Quiet Side,” contains no lever or pedal changes. Part Two, “Classical,” has some levering/pedal changes. Merry Widow Waltz and Minuett II both need a lever on the G above middle C. To A Wild Rose utilizes E and F (above the C above middle C) sharps a couple of times, but they are no big deal. O Mio Babbino Cara and Polovtsian Dance have no lever changes. Barcarolle needs levering to B-flat above middle C, just one lever to B flat and then back again to B natural. Santa Lucia and Fur Elise are the two which have more challenging levering issues, but they are very, very doable. Part Three, “Holiday” contains three songs with very minor levering, and the rest don’t have any. All three of the medleys were put together in such a way that the levering is extremely minor (and of course, none at all in the Quiet Medley.)
Here are the titles included in Vol. 2: The Quiet Side: Barbara Allen, Sakura, Loch Lamond, Carolyn’s Dream, Brahms’ Lullaby and All the Pretty Little Ponies. Plus medley. The Classical section: O Mio Babbino Caro, Polovtsian Dance, Fur Elise, Merry Widow Waltz, Minuet II (Bach), To A Wild Rose, Santa Lucia and Barcarolle from “Tales of Hoffman.” Plus medley. The Holiday section: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Infant Holy, O Come O Come Emmanuel, In The Bleak Midwinter, Toyland, While Shepherds Watched and Let it Snow. Plus medley. 68 pages
