Description
The Cross-strung Harp Method for Large and Small Cross-strung Harps
This method is designed to fulfill the needs of anyone wishing to switch from a traditional lever or pedal harp to the cross-strung harp, regardless of the harp’s size. All the even number pages have been arranged for a small 3 or 3 ½ octave harp and the odd number pages for larger harp. Following the exercises in a particular key, is an arrangement in that key for small harp and then another arrangement of a different tune for the larger instrument. The exercises and tunes have been fingered for the traditional “5/7” harp (similar to the layout of the piano). The goal in the book was to achieve a balance of needed technical studies in all keys with the enjoyment of playing recognizable tunes that make use of the chromatic possibilities of the instrument.
