“This beautiful tune is a traditional song from the Hebrides. It was notated in the early twentieth century by the musicologist and pianist Marjory Kennedy-Fraser, who collected and preserved many traditional songs from this region.”
The easy version (3 pages) of this piece features some arpeggiated bass accompaniment (stretches no bigger than 1 octave) and a single-note RH melody with extensive fingerings. The intermediate version (5.5 pages) has running eighth notes and many more LH arpeggios, some of which are extended with crossovers. It also has an extra (1/2 page) optional free introduction.
Please note that though the video below is for the duet version, the melody and some accompaniment figures are the same.
