Description
From the arranger:
“Japanese Folksongs for the Small Harp contains 23 Japanese folk songs and lullabies taken from folk songs and Koto literature including the popular “Sakura” transcribed from Koto tablature and adapted for the large Lever Harp. The arrangements are appropriate for a small lever harp with 1 octave below middle C and tuned to Eb or C. Songs in two keys are noted with an * in Contents. The songs are very accessible and appropriate for mid-beginner to intermediate players with limited or easy lever changes and endeavor to remain true to the sound of the Koto zither. Some of the songs in the book include both an easy and intermediate arrangement [indicated with a +].”
Please note that “Sheep Fast Asleep” is also contained in the book An International Christmas.
