Description
Each of the arrangements of these five traditional worship tunes is a great length (2-3 verses) for an offertory at church or a contemplative moment in a recital. They are also a good addition to seasoned performers’ background music. The accompaniment patterns are varied, featuring triplet and sixteenth-note arpeggios, harmonics, chordal glissandos, and full chords. In fact, the first, Be Still, My Soul, is based on two preludes of Bach’s – from the Well Tempered Clavier and the Cello Suite. Included are the harp score (small cello staff) and a separate cello part. Pedal changes are clearly marked throughout. PEDAL HARP + CELLO, LATE INTERMEDIATE/EARLY ADVANCED.
