“Peace! Peace! Wonderful peace, coming down from the Father above.” Perfect peace is one of the greatest gifts. This arrangement is imbued with flowing motifs and simple counter melodies to convey the meaning of the words to the two hymns. “Like a River Glorious” is set to Saint-Saens beautiful Swan from “Carnival of the Animals”. This piece, too, has a peaceful quality in the ever-flowing 16th notes and calm, dignified melody. It is hoped that listeners will be captivated by the mood of the songs. Harp 1 sets the third and fourth octave C-sharps and B-naturals before the piece begins. Harp 2 sets the second octave B-natural before the piece begins. Harp 3 sets the fourth octave C-sharp before the piece begins. Use two hands for the ascending fifths and sixths in m.52-54. Included are score, three separate parts, and performance notes.
