Description
Hauturu is the Maori name for a small island off the coast of Whangamata, on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. We can see it from our holiday home, and regularly walk out to Hauturu on a sand bar at low tide. Particularly over winter, when this was written, the water is never the same for two days in a row, and this tune reflects some of the character of the island, and the water which separates it from the mainland. Experienced intermediate harpist, no lever changes, four minutes in duration.
