Description
Arranged by Kathy Bundock Moore, Moore’s connections with Jackson Berkey began in 1994 when she appeared as harpist in the premiere of his choral setting of “Il est ne.” A long-time devoted fan of Mannheim Steamroller, Moore struck up a conversation with Jackson, and by the end of three days of rehearsals and concerts, a friendship and a collaboration were born. The result is the Jackson Berkey Harp Books: “Nature of the World” and the “Four Lullabies for Harp.” These two sets – edited, adapted, (and recorded) by Ms. Moore under the composer’s supervision – encompass musical styles ranging from well known Holiday Carols to classical minimalism and rock.
Four Lullabies: Asleep in my Arms | A Day in a Manger | Still, Still, Night | The Poet’s Goodnight.
