Description
Six pieces arranged for pedal harp that are taken from traditional and modern repertoire. All have a tender feel about them and were written with love and compassion. Dona Nobis Pacem – the choral composition by Audrey Snyder is a most marvelous and meditative work that is very enjoyable to play. Something about that Name – this is perhaps the only published harp arrangement of this famous piece by Bill and Gloria Gaither; more advanced, it contains pedal changes and harmonics. Amazing Grace is written in the key of F with a few pedal changes that are to be executed during right hand glissandos. Jesus Loves Medley (with Jesus Loves the Little Children) is written in the key of F with three pedal changes. It has an interesting section with enharmonics and parallel 4ths – you’ll enjoy playing that part. Softly and Tenderly is written in the key of E flat and has three pedal changes and contains larger chords and arpeggios. Finally, Were you There? is written in the key of F as well and introduces the interesting technique of knocking on the board, symbolizing nails in the cross. Harpists who have helped us proof read this work have really enjoyed these arrangements! Intermediate pedal harp.
